Haiti Appeal at Headlands

There were cakes and buns aplenty at Headlands as Mrs Smith, students from the Lunch Time clubs and staff raised £213 for the Haitian Disaster appeal.

Staff donated their time and money in the baking and the students showed their caring generosity in buying the cakes and donating their money for this cause.

The money will go insome way to help those trying to cope in appalling circumstances and a "bring and buy" sale is now being planned to raise even more.

Acting headteacher, Scott Ratheram said "Many thanks to Mrs Smith for organising the event and to all pupils and staff involved.  I am again proud of our pupils generosity and willingness to help communities in real need. Hopefully the bring and buy sale will raise even more money."
