Election fever hit Headlands School on 8th June just like the rest of the country.
As a result of including Rugby Union in the Girls PE curriculum and free membership of Bridlington Rugby Union Football Club we have seen unprecedented success in the growth of Girls Rugby at key stage three this year.
It’s easy to underestimate the benefits of a healthy diet in the run-up to examinations, particularly in light of the fact that many of the examination for reformed subjects are longer than they were previously.
Students growing increasingly anxious about their GCSEs have been learning how to combat the signs of poor mental health.
On Friday 28 April Headlands School welcomed the Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu to talk to the Student Council and also meet students undertaking GCSE Religious Studies at the school.

Another successful Young Musician of the Year competition was organised and hosted by the Year 13 Music class. They organised impartial judges from external companies who were able to view for themselves what wonderful students we have at Headlands School. The winners were Elizabeth Ibbotson, Kira Walker and Tabatha Askew. Congratulations to all who participated.
Chartwells will be launching a brand new lunch offering in Secondary and Academy schools which has been built using student’s feedback. Having been trialled for the past 12 months, we are excited to provide you and your school with a food offering that rivals the high street, which has been incredibly positively received by students and staff alike! Naturally, the menu is fully compliant to the School Food Standards, but takes the humble school lunch to the next level. So what does the new menu look like, and how did we get here?
