Another successful Young Musician of the Year competition was organised and hosted by the Year 13 Music class. They organised impartial judges from external companies who were able to view for themselves what wonderful students we have at Headlands School. The winners were Elizabeth Ibbotson, Kira Walker and Tabatha Askew. Congratulations to all who participated.

As part of the Sixth Form enrichment programme at the end of the Christmas holidays a group of 7 Sixth Form students undertook a 2 day intensive TEFL course. This gives them the ability to teach English abroad should they wish to take a year out or work abroad in the future. They all thoroughly enjoyed the course and passed with flying colours!
On 18th October Year 12 students took part in the national Restart a Heart Day organised by the British Heart Foundation. All students learnt this life saving skill under supervision of local volunteers from the emergency services. Our thanks go to them for giving up their time to teach our students this vital life skill.
Headlands School has secured its best ever A’ Level results. Year on year our 6th Form has demonstrated our relentless commitment to outstanding teaching and learning and this again has translated into excellent student results.
Further success for Headlands School as Coastline, a Young Enterprise company, win 3 prizes at the Young Enterprise North Humber County Final on Thursday 12th May 2016.
Nine A-level students from Headlands School Sixth form have managed to scoop four awards for their entrepreneurial skills.
Yet more success for Headlands School as Coastline, a Young Enterprise company, wins 4 out of the 7 available prizes at the Young Enterprise North Humber Area 2 Finals on Thursday 24th March.
On Tuesday 22nd March, 10 6th form students went on a residential visit to King’s College in Cambridge University.
