Emergency childcare provision in Bridlington for essential workers

From Monday 30th March 2020, until further notice, should essential workers require emergency childcare for secondary school children who would normally attend Headlands School or Bridlington School please see below:

Emergency childcare provision in Bridlington for essential workers:

Venue:  North Bridlington Library

Days of the week:  Monday to Friday

Times: Drop-off between 9am – 11am

Please note children will be required to identify to staff supervising the childcare provision:

a) The role of the parent(s) as an essential worker

and

b) state why the emergency childcare is needed.

This means the child(ren) will need to be able to explain why they are not safe in their own home and what  alternatives have been sought.  A note written by the child(ren)’s parent may help with this crucial information.

The emergency childcare provision will consist of children being able to use the library’s IT facilities to undertake their virtual school lessons and / or allow them to quietly read.

To reiterate this provision is for emergencies only, when all other avenues have been exhausted.
