Headlands School is the best in the East Riding when it comes to ensuring a bright future for students, according to the new figures released by the Department of Education last week.
Its secondary school league tables showed that 99% of 16-year-olds remained in education or went into employment after completing GCSEs at Headlands in 2017 – the highest percentage in the area.
The data also showed 42% of students last year gained a Grade 5 or above in Maths and English. And we were very proud of our science results, which were the best in this part of the East Riding.
#TeamHeadlands scored 47 (above the national average) in the Attainment 8 category, based on how well pupils have performed in up to eight qualifications, which include English, Maths, three English Baccalaureate qualifications including sciences, computer science, history, geography and languages, and three other approved qualifications.
