Nine A-level students from Headlands School Sixth form have managed to scoop four awards for their entrepreneurial skills.
The group set up their own company called Coastline with the help of Young Enterprise, the UK’s leading enterprise and financial education charity.
Coastline manufactures decorative frames containing phrases written out in letter tiles. Various phrases are available to buy.
The team’s pre-made frame designs retail at £9.99 while its personalised frames sell for £12.99.
Megan Sharp, marketing director of Coastline, said: “We recently entered Young Enterprise’s annual competition stages which are held to showcase the hard work put in by all the students and we’re happy to announce that we won our first round, bringing back a total of four awards.
“The judges awarded us for our efforts and successes in marketing and sales, finance and also for our social and environmental focus, alongside the overall award for best company. We’re hoping to add to our collection on Thursday 12 May at the next stage of the competition in Hull’s Hallmark hotel.”
