We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to supervise lessons and facilitate learning during the absence of subject teachers by delivering work pre-set by a subject specialist.
You should have a good standard of education, including English and Maths, with a broad general knowledge providing the ability to cover lessons in a range of subjects. You may also be required to undertake timetabled lessons, including all PPA, in both the school and the Aspire Centre.
You will be required to undertake additional responsibilities in respect of supporting whole school events outside of normal working hours – such as open days, parents’ evenings, Tour de Bridlington and celebration evenings – as required.
You will have significant experience of working with young people, preferably in groups or an educational setting, along with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to employ behaviour management strategies.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions using own initiative, along with IT skills including the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and databases are also a requirement of the role.
