Make your own Bit Lit videos

Message from Mrs Keable:

“Well done to those of you who have been watching and completing the quizzes on this week’s story, The Red Room. We are thrilled to see so many of you getting involved and it has given me an idea.

“I am sure by now we are coming to terms with not being able meet up with some of our extended family and our friends. However, a lot of us are lucky enough to have a range of resources at our fingertips to keep us entertained and in contact with our loved ones.

“Therefore, this is an appeal to you to help us brighten the days of some of the residents in our local care homes who may not have these resources readily available to them.

“The idea is this:

“We want you to create your own Bit Lit-type video that we will then send on to local care homes to entertain the residents. You will need to choose either a section of a fiction or non-fiction book, a poem, or you could even create your own piece of writing to read out.

“Before you start your reading, you may want to include a brief introduction. I do think it is
important that we ensure our readings are as positive as possible and therefore this needs to be taken into consideration when you choose your reading.

“If you want to get involved, don’t hesitate to contact me via my school email address charlotte.
