A selected group of our year 10 students had a taste of life as a Sixth Form student on July 2nd and really impressed their teachers. Sample Sixth Form lessons were arranged for students to learn some of the content and approaches to Sixth Form teaching and learning, and for them to experience how that differs from GCSE. The photos show that they really got “stuck-in” and made the most of the day and we look forward to lots of them joining us in the Sixth Form in 2016.
All year 11 students will have an individual meeting with Mrs Nind early in year 11 to discuss their career aspirations and make sure they get the right information and guidance to help them make important decisions about their future.
Another group of students visited East Riding College on July 3rd and had taster lessons in a range of different courses there – so all the students are starting year 11 with a clear idea of what next steps are available to them.
Well done Year 10!
